Trust Administration

When the creator or creators of the Trust die, the Living Trust must be administered according to its terms and provisions. Trust Administration involves appraising trust assets, filing income tax returns, estate tax returns, paying bills, giving notice to beneficiaries, providing for minor children, contacting banks and investment companies and allocating the Trust assets among the named beneficiaries either outright or in trust.  Unlike a court supervised probate proceeding, Trust Administration requires the successor Trustee to manage trust assets and deal directly with Trust beneficiaries in accordance with California law.

Trust Administration may also include controversies which could subject your Trust to court supervision.
